It is always an intriguing element of our work that we get to have an insight into individual personalities of our customers. This customer got in touch with us at the latter stages of completing on her new build property.
She was looking to get organised with the property so that she could co-ordinate a schedule for moving in. This was her first home so she was looking to create a unique and bespoke design throughout.
We say it a lot, but design is individual. So is the requirement of help with regards to colour selection or paint finish. Some clients require a lot of information and support and others know exactly what they would like to achieve and how.
When we spoke to her it became apparent that the house was not yet handed over. We arranged to meet our client at the show home so that we could provide a quotation for the work to be completed.
We wanted to ensure that the process was made as straightforward as possible, knowing that the likely other stresses of moving did not need to be added to.
It became apparent on discussions and once we received the colour choices that our client wanted to get as far away from the white walls / white ceilings look of the typical new build properties. She had carefully selected a range of colours for each room, selecting colours for the woodwork, ceilings and walls in some cases.
The selection of images showcase how daring this client was with her design. Her home, once newly decorated, offers such a statement and a reflection of her individual personality. What better way to start a new chapter in a new home?
She chose to have the stair string painted with three different paint colours. She carefully selected different colours for the:
- Newel posts
- Balusters
- Handrails
Whilst this is a timely exercise, it allowed us an additional opportunity to showcase our high-quality decorating. Our client was extremely pleased with her redecoration project.
She has kept in touch with us after the time she moved in to request further assistance and advice for other services in the area. These included an alarm installation specialist, an electrician and an Interior Designer.
For a couple of walls she had made the decision to combine wall tiles and painted walls. We co-ordinated the tiling services which helped to make the process simple for her and seamless for us.
